Open Arms Childcare Ministries is a non-profit charity that provides No-cost childcare to needy families. It is located in La Mision, Baja California, Mexico. Open Arms provides assistance to families who are in desperate need of child care service.

Mexico is a third world country with no real form of childcare. Because of the drastic decline of the peso, families are unable to survive on the fathers salary alone. This is forcing woman into the work force at a fast pace, and the children, in turn become the victims.

Our hope and prayer is to keep families together by providing a safe refuge during the day for them. Our goal is to keep children out of orphanages and off the street and bring them into the loving arms of Jesus Christ. The care and assistance we provide for these families extends beyond basic well-being and encompasses all facets of a productive lifestyle which includes and is not limited to academic, religious, and life education.

The Vision:

Open Our Arms: We want to open our arms just like Jesus Christ opens His arms to the children of the world. We too will open our arms and provide No-cost childcare and early education for needy families.

Keep Families Together: By providing a refuge during the day for children is a way we can keep families together. Our prayer is that this will decrease the rate of children being dropped off at orphanages because they have no one to care for their children during the work day.

Prevent Child Abandonment: Many children are left in the streets during the day, either after school, or even before they are of age to enter school while their mother or parents are at work. These children get involved in gangs, drugs, violence, and even prostitution at a very young age because there is no one there to care for them. The daycare provides a safe haven for these kids and keeps them off the street.

Teach the Word of God: Our prayer is that through Bible classes these children will become a light amongst the darkness within their families and community. Our hope is they will lead their families into the loving arms of Christ as they learn about God’s love at the daycare.

Focus on the Family: Not only do we want to help the children we also want the families to see the love of God as well. We hold parenting classes and parent meetings to go over their children’s progress.
