Open Arms has created a safe haven for many children within our community. However, we would not be able to help children and keep families together without your love and support. Our children come from broken homes, single parent families, bad situations of abuse, and abandonment and neglect. Their parents are looking for something better for their children. Here we provide them with much needed love and attention. We want our children to learn to love themselves and to love God despite their economic situation. The Open Arms sponsorship program offers a way for people to assist us in caring for the children enrolled in the daycare. We are always looking for new sponsors to help us care for new and existing kids attending the daycare.

You Can Make a Difference…

By becoming a sponsor at Open Arms you become a spiritual parent. We ask that you pray for your child everyday.

By becoming a sponsor you also help a child feel like they are loved. The children love to know that someone cares about their well-being outside their family. We also encourage sponsors to have a personal relationship with the child. We are blessed to only live 45 minutes from the border. This way, you can come visit your child, get to know them, hug them, and play with them. It helps you feel like it is not just some child on TV that lives so far away. With our sponsorship program you can actually reach out and touch the child you sponsor. We also encourage every sponsor to write letters, send birthday and Christmas presents and if possible visiting them.The sponsorship program helps in the day to day expenses of caring for these children. Every dollar that comes through the Sponsorship Program directly benefits the kids. We are able to give our children the best care possible by supplying the funds for education (education is not free in Mexico), two hot meals a day, regular medical attention, and a safe and stable environment to help them develop and grow. Ultimately, you will help keep a child off the streets, and out of an orphanage.

Your tax deductible monthly support links you with a child of your choice (or we can choose the one most in need for you, if you would like). When signing up you will first receive a picture of your child with their personal information, favorite past times and clothes sizes. You will also receive receive regular updates about your child periodically. Additionally, we will add you to our monthly newsletter list, where you will receive updates on the ministry and children at the daycare.

Occasionally, a child leaves the daycare because their mother lost her job, or has moved to a different city. When this happens you will be notified and given the opportunity to sponsor another child.
