December 2010 – Merry Christmas from OA!

As we look back on 2010, we are filled with praise and gratitude for what God has done at Open Arms!

–          We opened the doors to a new 6500 sq. ft. building , which now holds the kitchen, dining room, multipurpose room, office, two staff apartments, and a large playroom for our older children.

–          We helped five daycare families with building projects to improve their homes.

–          Berenice, an eight-year-old girl who attends the daycare, led her mom to Christ, who has now proceeded to open her home to others to meet weekly to study the Word. This little girl has truly captured our dream of saving families!

–          OA offered its facility as an evacuation center to displaced families when the river in town overflowed. We were able to connect with two Oaxacan families who had never heard the Word of God. Now, they have come to know the Lord, and their 10 children are out of the fields, in school, and attending the daycare daily!

Thank you for being a part of Open Arms.  This year, with your help, families have been rescued, hundreds have heard the Word of God, many were saved and baptized, we now have 65 women in our small groups, 17 new kids joined the OA family, and many others were blessed!  We appreciate your continued support and wish you a blessed Christmas season!
