Keeping families together this week means praising God for 11 years of orphan prevention in La Mision!

11th Anniversary for OA

We celebrated 11 years of preventing child abandonment,  fighting to keep families together and sharing the gospel at our La Mission campus. We have 5 kids who have been with us for those 11 years. (Pictured Right with OA Founder, Heidi) Dulce, now 19 years old has graduated high school and is starting her life! Brisa, (13), came to OA when she was 2 years old, was one of our hardest kids. She would scream, cry and fight every day due to her lack of stability in her home life. Now, her family is living in a house that Open Arms built them after theirs burned down and Brisa is in Jr. High! Genesis, (15), came to OA when she was 4 years old, and is now in Jr. High, and attending our after school program. She is looking forward to completing her education while her younger siblings are cared for at Open Arms. Galiliea, (15), and Emy, (12), came to OA from an orphanage after their mom sought out our help to reunite her family. We are so amazed by how far God has brought these kids and their families.

In La Mision, we have 75 kids in 32 families who are off the streets, able to live with their families and are learning to follow Jesus! We have seen so many lives changed, families reunited, and God’s grace covering it all. Every time a parent brings their child to us for the day, we thank God for all of you who have made it possible. Thank you for your financial support, prayers and love. We cannot wait to celebrate many more years ! If you would like to sponsor a child and see their life changed, click here!
