He has three other brothers (Cris, Hugo, & Eliseo) and two nephews (Emmanuel &Ismael) who also attend the daycare. Celso doesn't like to smile unless he is playing a fast paced game of tag. His family came from the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca many years ago and settled in Camalu to find work in the agricultural fields. His mom makes approximately $12 a day working in the fields that puts fruits and vegetables on America's tables. His oldest sister, the mother of Ismael, Emmanuel and Samuel, forfeited her education to take care of her siblings while her mom went to work in the fields. This family had one of the worst living conditions that we had seen but thankfully, through a generous sponsor, we were able to bless them with a new home. Most importantly, his family attends Open Arms church, and is following Christ. Please pray that they will continue strong in their faith!
