My Story

Marco Antonio has the deepest and wonderful eyes you can ever imagine. He has two other siblings that also attend our daycare, Daniela and Iker Alonso. Marcos's mother came desperately to Open Arms asking for help. She told us that her husband had lost his father and this made him fall into depression, he did not want to do anything, and he only spent his days in bed. She had no one to help her take care of her children and because of that, it was very hard to get a job. Trying to help and support her husband in his loss, trying to find a job, taking care of her children, this mother had her hands full and there was no one to help her. She told us that sometimes there were days when they had nothing to eat, because she couldn't provide for her family. Now that they are part of the Open Arms family, Marco Antonio and his siblings have a safe place to be where they receive food every day and their mother can have peace. Heidi’s daughter, Selah, has become good friends with his sister Daniela, and she started inviting them to church. Now his mom and siblings come to church every Sunday, and Iker’s mom was even baptized in 2021. 

Please pray for this family for her father’s depression and that he would find Jesus like the rest of the family has.
