My Story

Yatziry was on our waiting list for a long time, and this year we were able to welcome her to the Open Arms family.

Yatziry is a very joyful and energetic little girl. She loves to be at daycare and make new friends. She adapted easily to the daycare. Yatziry is the younger sister of Mia Alejandra and Jesus Ávila. Mia and Jesus have been with us for several years and they have made great progress in every area of ​​their lives. Before this family arrived at Open Arms, they went through very dark times. Mia, the oldest, suffered from depression and even thoughts of suicide, and Jesus, the youngest, was very shy, and not very sociable. But over time, with the teacher's work and the incredible help of our Lord Jesus, this family found hope, and everything began to change. Mia graduated from junior high school at the top of her class, and Jesus also greatly improved his academic performance.

Yatziry's mother also attends our church and our Ella women's bible study. We are so grateful for everything this family has accomplished, and we know Yatziry will be no exception.  Her life will be filled with miracles like that of her older siblings.

Please keep this family in your prayers that God will continue to fulfill His purpose for this family, and Yatziry will grow up knowing who Jesus is.
