My Story

Leonardo—better known as “Leo” to all of us—is the sweetest little boy with a gentle heart and curious spirit.

He lives with his parents and two siblings, and although he is deeply loved, his family has recently faced challenges. His parents’ relationship has been complicated, which led his mother to begin working, and she knew her son needed a safe, caring place to go while she provided for the family.

When Leo was born, his mom was able to keep him by her side all day at work. But as he grew and needed more space, more supervision, and more freedom to move and explore, it became impossible for her to bring him along. Wanting the very best for her son, she reached out to Open Arms to make sure he would be cared for, protected, and loved while she worked. Leo is a curious, observant child who loves watching animal cartoons and carries two beloved blankets everywhere he goes. Now that he is part of the Open Arms family, his mom can work with peace, knowing her little boy is thriving in a safe, nurturing environment.
