My Story

Beautiful Monserrat is a bright, talkative little girl whose affectionate spirit makes her a friend to everyone she meets.

She is intelligent, joyful, and full of life. Although she lives with a heart murmur that must be closely monitored, it doesn’t stop her from running into childcare each morning with open arms, ready to hug anyone in her path. Her joy shines in a way that makes everyone around her smile.

A few months after Monserrat was born, her parents separated due to her father’s infidelity. The pain of that season was heavy for her mother, Angela, who made the courageous decision to leave Veracruz in southern Mexico and move to La Mision in search of a new beginning. Today, Monserrat and her mother live with her grandmother, whose love and support have been a steady anchor during these challenging years.
