My Story

Kimberly is an independent, sociable, and talkative little girl whose confidence lights up every room she enters. She loves reading, drawing, and expressing her creativity in everything she does.

As the youngest of three sisters, she brings a special joy to her family. Her middle sister, Taylor, is also in our care at Open Arms. Her mother is a single parent who works at another local ministry. With no one available to care for her two youngest daughters while she worked, she came to Open Arms seeking a safe place where her girls could be loved, protected, and taught the Word of God. Here, Kimberly has found stability, encouragement, and a community that believes in her future. Kimberly’s parents separated when she was just a year old.

Although she and her sisters have grown up in a healthy, Christian home, her mother shares that Kimberly sometimes feels sadness over not having spent much time with her father. Even in her confidence, her heart carries tender places that need God’s gentle healing.

Please join us in praying for Kimberly—that she may find in God the loving, present Father her heart longs for, and that she continues to grow strong, whole, and full of joy.
