My Story

Zoe Alexandra is a joyful, curious little girl who greets everyone with a smile that lights up the room—an incredible strength considering her difficult beginnings.

Before she was even born, her mother considered aborting her but chose to carry her to term. Yet before Zoe turned one, her mother decided to give full custody to the father and has not sought a relationship with her since. For three years, Zoe lived with her grandparents in Puerto Vallarta, where her dad would visit whenever his work season ended. When she turned five, her grandparents brought her to La Misión to live with her father permanently. Though he had their support, he didn’t want to continue placing that burden on them, so he sought help from Open Arms to ensure his daughter had a safe, loving place to grow.

Today, Zoe Alexandra is thriving in a place where she is cared for, protected, and receiving a Christian education. Even though there were plans for her not to be born, God had already spoken purpose over her life—and now her bright smile brings joy to everyone around her.

Please pray with us for this family: for wisdom and provision for her father as he raises her alone, and for deep inner healing and security in Zoe’s heart as she grows without a mother.
