La Mision
Fernando is a strong-willed, energetic little boy who lights up when he’s near the ocean, discovering dinosaurs, or exploring anything related to nature.
He is the oldest son of a young couple who began their journey together when his mom was just 19. Through family conflicts and challenges, they have fought hard to build a home filled with love and stability. His younger brother, Claudio Zamir, also attends Open Arms while their parents work. Fernando’s dad works long hours as a heavy-machinery driver, and his mom runs a small food stand—a job she once had to manage while caring for her children at the same time. But working beside a busy highway made it dangerous to keep the boys with her, no matter how much she tried.
They needed a safe place, a place where her sons could thrive instead of being exposed to risk. We are grateful to support a family that is determined to stay united.
Please pray that Jesus remains the center of their home, strengthening them in every season and covering Fernando and Claudio with protection and peace.
