My Story

Mateo is a sweet, affectionate, and very observant boy. He loves to explore and discover the world around him. He is very intelligent, daring, and brave; he isn't afraid to try new things and always shows curiosity to learn. Every day he surprises us with his way of seeing the world and with his beautiful smile. His favorite cartoon is Bluey, he likes to explore and stay active, he loves music, and especially playing instruments.

Mateo's pregnancy was a very special and transformative time in his mother's life. From the moment she knew he was on the way, her heart was filled with emotions, hopes, and learning. It was during this pregnancy that her relationship with God deepened, but it was also during this time that, as a first-time mother, she faced fears and insecurities that led her to think and feel that perhaps she wouldn't be able to be a mother. However, God showed his favor and care throughout her pregnancy. And now she says, "Mateo's pregnancy and my motherhood have been a powerful bridge to bring me closer to God." Through Mateo, she has understood God's love, grace, and mercy in a real and personal way.

Mateo came into the lives of his parents, Leamsi and Josue, as a blessing that transformed their faith and their hearts. Their wish is that their son will be a man of values, respectful, responsible, and God-fearing. May he have a noble heart, be happy, fulfill his dreams, and always walk hand in hand with God in every stage of his life.

Leamsi is one of our teachers at the Open Arms Christian Academy, and we are happy to provide a safe and nurturing place for her and her family.
