My Story

Eli has a younger sister, Maite, also in our care. He loves to pretend that he is the Hulk, and he loves pretending to play the drums. Eli is a second generation Open Arms kiddo! His mom, Cynthia, was one of the first kids we took into the daycare. Cynthia's mom used to work with us, and when Cynthia was 13, she came with her mom every day as a volunteer to help out. Now she is married and she works for Open Arms, while Eli is loved and cared for by our staff. Several years ago, Eli’s parents had another baby boy who passed away at 9 months gestation. They were forced to live through a tragic delivery, and they grieved for many, many months over the loss of their first child. Though they feared losing another child, they wanted to have a family, and God blessed them with Eli. Since Eli was born he has been a blessing to his parents and now he has a little sister, Maite, who is also in our care!. Please pray for Eli and their family, that they would continue to heal, and that God would show them His special plan.
