Jose loves being at the daycare and is an avid soccer fan. Jose is the middle of three boys. His brothers, Juan Manuel and Jesus Alfredo also attend the daycare. Their mom is a single mother working hard to provide for her children. Their father was a drug addict who was abusive and frequently in and out of their lives. Although she was not a believer, her children were persistent in inviting her to church, and after winning the bible study book for our women’s ministry, she decided to come. The first night of “Ella”, our women’s ministry, she accepted Christ into her life and has been attending church ever since. Since that day we have seen her faith, hope and strength be fed by the love of Jesus. We have seen her fight for her family. We have seen her fight for the sobriety of her husband and fight for their marriage. However, after a tragic unraveling of events the boys father committed suicide. The boys mother is currently employed with us at Open Arms and we are grateful that we get to stand beside her and her boys. We believe Jesus is going to heal them from the trauma they have experienced and redeem their lives. Please pray for Jose’s family, that they heal from all the trauma they have endured.
