My Story

Maite is truly an answer to prayer! She is loved and the little princess of the daycare.

Maite is a second generation OA kid. Her mom, Cynthia, was one of the first kids we took into the daycare in La Mision. When Cynthia turned 13, she started volunteering at the daycare. Now, her and her husband work for Open Arms in Los Pinos. Several years ago Maite’s parents had a baby boy, Matias, who passed away at 9 months gestation. They were forced to live through a tragic delivery and they grieved for many, many months. Although they were fearful to lose another child, they wanted a family and became pregnant with Maite’s brother. Now, they have two beautiful children and an angel baby. Maite and Eli are both answeres to many many prayers!
