My Story

Daniela is a very sweet girl, despite her circumstances and everything she has been through, she always has a good attitude and a smile. Daniela is Iker Alonso's and Marco Antonio's oldest sister, who also attend our daycare. Daniela's mother came desperately to Open Arms asking for help. She told us that her husband had lost his father and this made him fall into depression, he did not want to do anything, and he only spends his days in bed. She had no one to help her take care of her children and because of that, it was very hard to get a job. Trying to help and support her husband in his loss, trying to find a job, taking care of her children, this mother had her hands full and there was no one to help her. She told us that sometimes there were days when they had nothing to eat, because she couldn't provide for her family. Now that they are part of the Open Arms family, Daniela and her siblings have a safe place to be where they receive food every day and their mother can have peace. Heidi’s daughter, Selah, has become good friends with her and started inviting her to church. She would beg her mom to come. And they started coming and Daniela’s mom was even baptized in 2021. 

Please pray for this family for her father’s depression and that he would find Jesus like the rest of the family has.
