My Story

Lucero is a little one full of energy and curiosity. She is the only child as Erica, her mother, has Preeclampsia. She had a high-risk pregnancy and the doctors had to do a caesarean operation at 7 months of pregnancy. Because she was born premature, Lucero had to stay a month in the hospital until she was out of risk and strong enough to go home with her mom. Over a year ago, her dad decided to go live in another place. Now, Erica works as a single mother to give the best to her daughter (Lucero), even when it has been hard to provide their needs. Erica works picking vegetables on the fields, so when she had no one to help out to watch over her daughter, she would take her to work. That’s why she came to Open Arms looking for help so she can work knowing that Lucero is being taken care of in a safe place.

We pray that this family not only can just have a place where Lucero can be saved, we want them to find a community where they can know and feel the love of Jesus.
