My Story

Meet Jasson — a bright, energetic boy who’s always exploring. With his blonde hair, fair skin, and endless curiosity, Jasson turns heads everywhere he goes. He’s 100% Mexican, full of charisma, and never fails to make us laugh with his mischief and melt our hearts with his hugs.

Jasson is the younger brother of Noah, who also attends Open Arms. When their mom, Shantal, discovered she was pregnant with Jasson, she was overwhelmed. It wasn’t in her plans, and the news triggered a season of deep depression. Though she had been in a relationship with Jasson’s father for two years, the journey ahead felt uncertain. But even when parents don’t plan a child, we know God does. We believe Jasson is here with purpose — and we’re praying for that beautiful plan to unfold.

This little family came to Open Arms during a desperate moment. Shantal had no steady work and no trustworthy place to leave her sons. Now, she and her boys are safe, surrounded by care and covered in the love of Jesus.
