My Story

Fernando is a very active boy! He is the second oldest of four kids in his family. His brother and sisters, Damancio, Cristina and Xitlali also attend the daycare. Fernando's mom leaves early every morning and works all day in the strawberry fields. Before coming to OA they didn't attend school because they didn't have birth certificates. Instead Fernando and his siblings would work at the local flea markets to help their mom with expenses. They were always vulnerable and at risk of being picked up and taken to an orphanage. After coming to OA, we helped Fernando's mom get the birth certificates and now they are all in school. This is a huge win for this family. Fernado is able to be a kid again and does not have to feel like he has to help his mom financially. He is in school everyday now and is becoming a great student! We know his future is bright. Please pray this family would come to know Jesus as their Savior.
