He has two brothers who are too old to attend the daycare. His mother works in the agricultural fields, picking fruits and vegetables all day. His favorite thing to do is play soccer. Alfredo and his parents were deported from the States and had to move back to La Mision. After both of his parents found jobs here, Alfredo had no place to go. Additionally, his mom would frequently come to us and ask for help because her husband was physically abusing her. It has been very hard for this family to adapt to life in Mexico again. Alfredo’s parents separated a while ago, and he was left alone to fend for himself while his mom worked out in the agricultural fields. He has two older brothers, but when they went to school Alfredo was all alone. His mom would sometimes come home to find him standing on a chair in the kitchen making himself something to eat. She was scared for his safety and worried that DIF (Mexican Child Protective Services) would take him away and put him in an orphanage. But, thankfully, a spot opened up for Alfredo to attend OA. Now he and his mom are relieved that he is in a safe place. Please pray for this family. Thank you for all you do!
